Wordless Prayers

Read: Exodus 2:23-3:7 RBT: 2 Samuel 5-8

A woman who was slowly dying from cancer was frequently visited by her paster. One day she said to him, "At times I am so wracked with agony that it is impossible for me to gather my thoughts to pray. Even when i rally somewhat from the influence of the morphine, my mind is still dazed, and I cannot concentrate for any length of time"
He looked at her a moment and said, "you can groan, can't you?"

"Oh, yes," she answered, "my days are spent in groaning."
"Well, never mind that you can't formulate lengthy prayers. Your groans reach to God's ear just as surely as your more eloquent petitions."

Child of God, your deep groans are worth more than a thousand wordy, superficial prayers. Every time you bare your heart to the Lord, you may be sure that He hears your cry.
It's a great priviledge to be able to commune with our heavenly Father.

If our health is goos and our mind is clear, we should formulate our requests carefully and thoughtfully. But if we are too ill to think, we can take comfort in knowing that He hears the groans of those who love Him. He knows our hearts even when we can't put our feelings into words.

When God inclines the heart to pray,
He hath an ear to hear;
To Him there's music in a groan
And beauty in a tear.

Memory Verse:
The Lord said"I...have heard their cry..., for I know their sorrows."
Exodus 3:7

When Praying, Pray with a heart...

Joy Of Serving

Throughout this 1 month of holiday quite fruitful to me. I got to serve in Singapore Youth Of Christ. I got to go GMSS to help out as a facilitator to teach their school values. It's my first time stepping into school to help out.

Nowadays i also got to learn to meet up people or students for meal and talk about christian stuff and i will try to answer any questions they have as well as update them.

I get to serve more in church too especially ushering. Temporary we didn't really have enough brothers and sisters to help out ushering... if not the schedule of who to usher on that particular Sunday still not really fix yet. So if Wei ling need any of us to help out to usher on Sunday, she will call people up and ask whether is it ok to usher on Sunday.

Few days ago i just realise after serving the Lord day by day, I felt there's joy in me. Despite of my limitation and abilities... i still will continue to serve Him.

Now i got to attend some training given by our church as well as SYFC to build myself up to help those who in need and also to reach out to people.

I also got to realise now that i willing to give up my working time if i need to do the Lord's work. I will use some of the salary to contribute if they really need the money to extend the kingdom of God as tiding or offering.

I Thank God That I Able To Serve HIM Faithfully With Joy In My Heart.

Are You Searching For Wisdom?

Read: Proverbs 10: 1-9

Often we hear people question the wisdom of those in authority over us. It's easy to point an accusing finger at the government officials, bosses, pastors, teachers, or board members and say they are unfit to lead.

In reality, though, we're focusing our attention in the wrong place. Instead of being critical of others, we need to make sure wisdom is present in our own lives.

But how do we get such wisdom? First we need a "fear of the Lord" and a "knowledge of the Holy One"(proverbs 9:10). The best way to acquire this knowledge is by reading God's word.

We must also ask the Lord for His help if we are to gain wisdom. James wrote, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God" (James 1:5). Just as Solomon asked God for wisdom to help him lead ( 1 king 3:9), so we must constantly rely on the Lord if we are to walk a godly path.

Proverbs 10 tells us that when we are wise we will bring joy to our parents (v1), we will work in a timely manner (v5), and we will know how to accept authority (v8).

The next time you're tempted to critcize someone, think twice. Ask God to help you examine your own heart. Then ask yourself, "Am I searching for the wisdom God's Word promises?"

Give to me Your insight, Lord,
As I read Your Word today,
So I'll truly understand
Your message and Your way.

The Lord gives Wisdom. - Proverbs 2:6
